State-by-State Mortgage Delinquencies

If you're behind on your mortgage payments, you're in plenty of company -- especially if you live in Louisiana or Mississippi. More than one-eighth of borrowers from those hurricane-ravaged states are delinquent on their house payments, according to the Mortgage Bankers Association.

You are counted delinquent if you are at least 30 days past due in your mortgage payments. Below is a list of the percentage of borrowers in each state who are delinquent on their mortgages, along with break-out lists of the top five and bottom five. The five states with the lowest rates of delinquencies don't have much in common. The three states with the highest rates of delinquencies were struck by Hurricane Katrina.

Blogger Debt Consolidation Refinance said...

Good blog. A lot of people seem to contribute to it. I will add my contribution in a resource. I found California refinance while I was searching the net for a home mortgage refinance and it led me to http:\\thehomefinanceguide.com. I was amazed to find that I got a bunch of advise for free with no obligation. I even got a credit report with my FICO for free. They told me exactly what I qualified for and helped me get a custom mortgage which allowed me to consolidate my credit card bills which was a big load off my mind. If you are looking for a real estate loan of any kind, I definitely would recommend http:\\thehomefinanceguide.com.
